It’s a wine marketing cliché that “great wine begins in the vineyard”, but never a truer word was said when it comes to healthy soil being the foundation for great vines, great fruit and great wine.
This spring, our cover crops have burst into life, creating a vibrant mosaic of plants that do much more than just look beautiful. Carefully sown in autumn, our “cocktail” mix of cover crops work together to enhance the health of our soils, support biodiversity, and prepare the vines for the season ahead.
This blend includes Black Oats, Crimson Clover, Persian Clover, Radish, Mustard, Phacelia, and even Spinach. Each plant plays a specific role, and when combined, their synergies outperform what they could achieve individually.
