Pleasure ▪ Culture ▪ Craft - Issue 12

February 2026

It’s the final weeks of summer here in New Zealand and while that brings some longing for the relaxing sunny afternoons at the beach we enjoyed over the Christmas break, anticipation for harvest is at an all-time high across our three estates. Huw, Nick and Dan share their insights from the season at Waikari, Low Burn and Omahu and when #v2026 is likely to kick off.  It looks like it will be another long stretch across the country with our first Chardonnay pick likely to be in Hawke’s Bay before the end of February, and the last of our Pinot Noir coming off the vines well into April down in Central Otago.

This issue also brings a slew of reviews for our 2023 Pyramid Valley Botanicals Collection, with new tasting notes from Vinography, Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Halliday and The Real Review.

We’re also pleased to share Liinaa Berry’s thoughtful exploration of regenerative viticulture in The Real Review, examining how biodiversity serves as "the engine of endurance" in sustainable winemaking – a philosophy that guides our approach across all three estates.

We look forward to sharing more stories of vintage 2026 as they unfold over the coming months.
